VHS inspired filmmaking documenting music, creativity and contemporary youth culture
Manchester based filmmaker Red Job-Ford documents the people, spaces and moments that shape contemporary music and youth culture. Drawing inspiration from MTV, grime visuals and the family tapes he grew up watching, his work embraces the imperfections of VHS and vintage formats to create films that feel immediate, personal and rooted in the energy of the moment.

ROOTS + RHYTHM
Bringing together fourteen young Black creatives from across the North, ROOTS + RHYTHM highlights a generation shaping culture through fashion, film, photography and community-led practice. More than a profile of creative work, the project documents the networks, ideas and relationships helping to define contemporary Black youth culture.

BTS Studio Session For Tay Jordan
Offering a behind the scenes view of an unreleased recording session, this film follows Tay Jordan, 23sunz, 23ayzee, Armando and 23martinezz as ideas take shape in the studio. From developing melodies to refining lyrics, the project captures the collaborative process behind making music.

F K EVERYONE
Shot entirely in Camden, this run and gun VHS visual for GOD3’s F K EVERYONE embraces spontaneity over planning. Working with little more than a camera and the atmosphere of the streets, the film channels the raw energy of the track through movement, texture and location.

Take Time
Documenting the creation of Take Time, this VHS filmed studio session brings together Lewisham rapper Lorry and East London producer and musician Twiz.wav. The project captures the first meeting between two artists and the creative chemistry that emerges through collaboration.

Reprecussion Warehouse Project
Filmed at Manchester’s Warehouse Project, this piece follows Emerald Lewis as she delivers a high energy set within one of the UK’s most influential electronic music venues. The project focuses as much on atmosphere and audience connection as it does on performance, documenting the shared experience of live music.
