Lady bug, RIP Mbuya.

I saw a lady bug the other day

She reminded me of love,

she told me all I was is enough.

She sat & stayed on my hand as I soon wondered why she had spots on her back?

6 spots to be exact.

She told me not to worry & just appreciate her essence

I thought soon of my grandmother, she was there in pure presence.

Had my grandmother sent the lady bug to remind me I was enough?

In that moment I didn’t feel tough…

I felt weak at the will of my grandmothers love.

I saw her in the kitchen cooking, slaving away.

Making us a dinner with her heart as the main.

I feel her heart of love, though feel too soon, she was taken…

I look back at the lady bug, in my soul with nervous joy, I am shaken

I lay there as my eyes flutter and I slowly awaken

I soon think back to when she’d cook with 6 spots on her red apron.
